Part-Time Support Staff
Title: Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

General Description: 鈥婣ssist the Head Coach. Selects, recruits, and monitors student-athletes for their respective sport. Promotes sportsmanship, team play, and a commitment to academics while directing their team. Follows the rules and guidelines in accordance with the NJCAA and 51爆料网AA.
Position Duties:
1. Assist with program compliance within the 51爆料网AA and NJCAA policies and procedures.
2. Assist with recruitment of players.
3. Assist with holding players accountable for ethical behavior and academic standards.
4. Assist team members with coordination of community service as necessary.
5. Maintain a work schedule (administrative availability, practices, and games).
6. Ensure 51爆料网AA and NJCAA regulations are upheld.
7. Assist in fundraising in support of the program.
8. Provide publicity information to the Athletic Director as necessary.
9. Assist with prevention of athletic-related injuries and properly care for and report injuries to the Head Coach.
10. Assist with travel, food and lodging for away events as requested by the Head Coach.
11. Maintain team statistics and complete statistical entries via NJCAA and 51爆料网AA requirements as requested by the Head Coach.
12. Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Associate degree preferred.
2. At least two years coaching experience at the high school or club level.
3. Valid Michigan driving license required.
4. Background check.
Remuneration: Up to $5,000 per season, prorated based on start date and availability to fulfill coaching responsibilities. This payment will come in the form of a biweekly paycheck during the sporting season. 51爆料网 will pay mileage at the current IRS mileage rate for recruitment trips. Coaches will have free access to our pool, fitness, and recreation centers.

General Description: 鈥�The Head Competitive Dance Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and operation of the competitive dance program. Responsibilities include recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, developing student-athletes academically and athletically, organizing practices and competitions, managing program budgets and equipment, and promoting a positive team culture.
Position Duties/Functions:
1. Recruit, evaluate, and retain qualified student-athletes who demonstrate academic and athletic potential.
2. Plan, organize, and conduct practices emphasizing technical skill development in dance disciplines including pom, jazz, hip hop, and gameday performance.
3. Choreograph competitive routines and performance pieces while maintaining high standards of execution.
4. Coordinate competition schedules, practice schedules, and facility reservations in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
5. Assist with scheduling competitions and travel arrangements, including transportation, lodging, and meals.
6. Manage and monitor the program budget in accordance with institutional purchasing procedures.
7. Purchase, issue, maintain, inventory, and collect all uniforms, costumes, equipment, and program supplies.
8. Supervise assistance coaches, student assistants, managers, and volunteers.
9. Assist with monitoring academic progress through study tables, academic reports, and regular communication with student-athletes and campus personnel.
10. Foster sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, and personal responsibility among student-athletes.
11. Learns, understands, and complies with all rules and regulations set forth by NDA.
12. Enter competition results, statistics, and required reporting accurately and within established deadlines.
13. Assist with gameday and event management responsibilities as assigned.
14. Maintain positive relationships with prospective students, alumni, community members, media outlets, and supporters of the athletic program.
15. Promote the dance program through community engagement, camps, clinics, recruiting events, and promotional activities.
16. Support fundraising, alumni engagement, and departmental initiatives to enhance the student-athlete experience.
17. Notify the Athletic Director of significant student-athlete achievements, disciplinary concerns, injuries, or other noteworthy program developments.
18. Represent 51爆料网 in a professional manner consistent with the mission and values of the institution.
19. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Required Qualifications:
1. Collegiate coaching and/or competitive dance instruction experience.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of dance technique, choreography, and athlete development.
3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
4. Valid Michigan Driver's License is required.
5. Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
6. Ability to successfully complete all required institutional and governing body training.

Position Duties/Functions:
1. Develop, oversee, and manage the 51爆料网 esports program and competitive teams.
2. Recruit, evaluate, and retain student-athletes for the esports program.
3. Plan and conduct practices, competitions, offseason activities, team-building activities, and player-development sessions.
4. Coordinate competition schedules and nonconference events with the approval of the Athletic Director.
5. Monitor student-athlete academic progress, eligibility, conduct, attendance, and overall well-being.
6. Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, inclusion, and a positive image of the College and Athletic Department.
7. Oversee the daily operation and appropriate use of the esports facility.
8. Manage the inventory, storage, security, maintenance, and proper use of esports equipment, uniforms, software, and supplies.
9. Coordinate with Information Technology, Facilities, and other campus departments regarding equipment, software, network, safety, maintenance, and facility needs.鈥�&苍产蝉辫;
10. Recommend equipment upgrades, technology improvements, game-title selections, and replacement needs.
11. Assist with team travel, competition arrangements, and home-event preparation.
12. Coordinate livestream broadcasts, esports tournaments, club programming, camps, clinics, recruiting events, and promotional activities.
13. Assist in selecting, training, scheduling, and supervising assistant coaches, title coaches, student employees, team managers, and production staff.
14. Manage the esports program budget in coordination with the Athletic Director and follow all College purchasing procedures.
15. Follow all applicable College, Athletic Department, NJCAA, NJCAA Esports, 51爆料网AA, league, and conference rules and requirements.
16. Review and meet all competition, registration, contract, membership, reporting, and compliance deadlines.
17. Maintain accurate records related to rosters, eligibility, schedules, results, statistics, equipment, travel, budgets, and program activities.
18. Report competition results, disciplinary incidents, ejections, safety concerns, and rules violations to the Athletic Department in a timely manner.
19. Provide scores, highlights, and competition summaries for College communications, media, and website updates.
20. Support College enrollment, retention, fundraising, sponsorship, community-engagement, and student-development initiatives.
21. Attend required Athletic Department, College, league, and professional-development meetings.
22. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Required Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Previous competitive esports experience as a player, coach, or team manager.
3. Knowledge of assigned game title(s), current competitive strategies, and game updates.
4. Familiar with Discord, Twitch, and common esports communication platforms.
5. Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work evenings and weekends during the competitive season.

General Description: 鈥�The Pep Band Director/Conductor is responsible for the leadership, development, and operation of the 51爆料网 Pep Band. The Director recruits and develops student musicians, conducts rehearsals and performances, coordinates music selections, and collaborates with Athletics to create an energetic game-day atmosphere. The Director promotes school spirit, student engagement, and community involvement while fostering a positive and inclusive environment that supports student success and institutional pride.
Position Duties/Functions:
1. Recruit, evaluate, and retain student musicians to participate in the Pep Band.
2. Plan, organize, and conduct rehearsals to prepare the ensemble for athletic contests and college events.
3. Direct the Pep Band during home athletic competitions, campus celebrations, commencement, and other College events as assigned.
4. Select, arrange, and maintain a repertoire appropriate for athletic events, including fight songs, popular music, spirit tunes, and special performances.
5. Coordinate rehearsal and performance schedules in collaboration with the Athletic Department and other campus partners.
6. Maintain the Pep Band music library, equipment, uniforms, and other program materials.
7. Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation from students of varying musical backgrounds and experience levels.
8. Foster school spirit, sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership through musical performance.
9. Collaborate with the Athletic Department, Cheer Team, Dance Team, Student Life, Marketing, and other campus departments to enhance the game-day experience.
10. Support student recruitment efforts by participating in admissions events, open houses, orientation programs, and community outreach activities.
11. Assist with promotional events, alumni engagement activities, and fundraising initiatives that support the Pep Band and Athletics.
12. Supervise student section leaders, volunteers, and student assistants as assigned.
13. Prepare and manage the Pep Band budget in accordance with institutional purchasing procedures.
14. Coordinate travel, equipment transportation, and performance logistics for off-campus events when necessary.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, Instrumental Conducting, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
2. Experience directing, conducting, or instructing instrumental ensembles.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of wind band instrumentation, conducting techniques, and music selection.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to motivate and develop student musicians with varying skill levels.
6. Ability to work evenings and weekends throughout the athletic season.

Part-time faculty may take one class per semester tuition free. This benefit is available to the part-time faculty person, spouses, or their dependents (age 25 and under). Only one class per semester (per faculty member) and must be used in the semester in which they teach, the one immediately following the teaching assignment, or the summer semester.
